Sabaidee and Welcome to SouLao’d Kitchen

Our family’s story is deeply intertwined with the history of Laos. During the U.S. Secret War from 1964 to 1973, Laos was bombed more than any other country than any world war. Over two million tons of bombs were dropped, and 580,000 bombing missions took place. Many Lao families, including ours, were forced to leave their homes and seek safety in the United States.

We are first-generation Lao-Americans, and we are committed to preserving and sharing our culinary heritage. Despite challenges like opening just months before the pandemic, we have stayed true to our roots and community. We are honored to be the only Lao restaurant in Central and Western Massachusetts and one of just three in the entire state.
